Welcome to the summer 2014 Renewal Courses at the Center for Anthroposophy!
Welcome to Renewal Courses for 2014 –– our 15th summer atop the beautiful campus of High Mowing School in Wilton, New Hampshire.
As in previous years, we are offering two weeks of five-day courses, with some 10 courses each week. Participants can sign up for one or two weeks of courses, taking one five-day course per week, since it is our belief that immersion in a subject is the most effective way to experience rejuvenation and the development of capacities.
The first week of courses begins on Sunday evening, June 22nd, with a festive opening that includes keynote speech, music, and an overview of the different courses presented by the instructors themselves. This first week ends with a closing ceremony at lunchtime on Friday, June 27th . The second week begins on Sunday, June 29th and ends on July 4th.
The program starts each day at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m., except on Friday, when we finish early to allow for travel homewards. We begin every morning with a gathering of all participants for brief exercises in eurythmy and singing. Classes commence at 9:00 and run until lunchtime, with a half-hour coffee/tea break at 10:30. A two-hour lunch break allows time for a rest, walk in the woods, swim in the pool, or time with new and old friends. The afternoon program begins at 2:30p.m. and ends at 5:00p.m. , punctuated by a short mid-afternoon break.
Dinner is available at 5:30 p.m. (except on Sundays when dinner starts at 6:00 p.m.), followed by some free time before the optional evening events begin at 7:30 p.m., including lectures, music, and other artistic sharings.
I hope this overview gives you a clear picture of the flow of the week…please click on the Week One and Week Two links on the left and discover all our carefully selected courses.
