Course Content

  • Curriculum issues: track classes, use of technology, resource materials
  • Standardized testing
  • Lesson planning: each student presents an outline of a lesson plan for an entire main lesson, including a detailed plan for the first day of the block, to be discussed in the seminar.
  • Remedial needs and differing learning styles
  • Assessment of student work in mathematics
  • Mathematical problems: Participants work together on problems that have arisen out of their research or problems useful to a high school math program.
  • Path curves: continuation of a topic begun last year
  • Other topics that the participants may wish to pursue
