A successful Waldorf high school teacher must blend a thorough background in a subject with practical teaching skills. Both are offered through our program, which combines three summer sessions with two years of independent study and research including a specialized teaching internship in a Waldorf high school.
Summer sessions are held on the hilltop campuses of High Mowing and Pine Hill Waldorf Schools in scenic southeastern New Hampshire. The sessions run in parallel with the Waldorf Teacher Education Program of Antioch University New England. A new three-summers cycle begins each year.
A Certificate in High School Teacher Education is awarded by the Center for Anthroposophy upon successful completion of this program. The certificate is recognized by Waldorf schools around the world since the Center is a full member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).
