Building upon the work of the previous year, this course seeks to bridge academic and artistic subject areas by working with poetry, music, and movement. The goal is to master some of the forms so that kinesthetic learning and the joy of completion can be experienced. Eurythmy as a social art is explored. Classes include discussion and require a journal. Reflections on learning through movement (or kinesthetic modality) and full participation are key.
We explore eurythmy as an expressive and social art. Students are asked to co-create choreography in small groups for selections of poetry and/or music. Those with a particular wish or interest should bring texts or musical pieces with them. In addition to continuing with the sounds of speech, we explore gestures that correspond to (inner) moods as well as those relating to the wider universe (planets and stars).
Reflections on experiences in learning as well as questions relating to the adolescent are addressed in class discussion and through individual journals.
