with Karine Munk Finser Eurythmy with Cezary Ciaglo
The lights and darks of outer life continuously play through our soul life, affecting us as we attempt to find balance between the light of thinking and the warmth of our will. This living interplay forms the backdrop of color in our soul. Liane Collot d’Herbois, in her studies of colored light and consciousness, discovered a path of painting that strengthens the health-giving forces within us. She based her paintings on a twelve-fold view of consciousness of light, darkness, and color.
Using charcoal exercises, we will study the effects of a strong, medium, or gentle consciousness, approaching the future consciousness of the heart’s light. This will guide us in our choice of color for a veilpainting. We will work with the meeting of light and darkness, recognizing its lawfulness in the color gestures.
This course is for those who love veilpainting. Some experience with painting is necessary. Participants need to bring a 1" brush with “thick hair” and a bag of assorted charcoal and chalk pastels. Also, participants may wish to bring photographs of clouds.
Materials fee: $30 Karine Munk Finser studied with Liane Collot d’Herbois and Dorothea Pierce, receiving her Painting Therapy degree from the Medical Section of the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland.
